Dizzy Wright dropped the Golden Age 2 back in the beginning of August and has dropped visuals to the third track on his album for Outrageous.
Directed by Blckdmds, the music video shares imagery of police brutality and money hungry, selfish people – stating how the government’s only concern is power and money, they don’t care about people of colour getting murdered.
The chorus expresses Dizzy’s thoughts in America on racism as he raps “Heard you needed real, come get some/America looking like a sitcom/They don’t care about a n*gga outcome/They really only focus on the income/Black versus white, who’s race?/Everything looking outrageous”, it shows that people like him have to deal with the daily frustrations of being a man of colour and dealing with his people suffering.
He continues to share his experiences and thoughts, reflecting on his father getting jail time when he was just a baby, and spent twenty years in prison while his mother struggled to get paid to survive. Him and Big K.R.I.T. are basically questioning this lifetime and asking when will things change.
By the end of the video, the white cop finally shoots the person he’s been chasing and shoots while beating him senseless – a perfect representation of what is STILL going on these days, unfortunately.
